Independent game publisher Annapurna Interactive is known for innovating both in storyline and gameplay with its non-standard games like Florence and What Remains of Edith Finch. This Thursday (29), the company brought several new features in a presentation, in which it revealed new titles that put players in the shoes of demon hunters and even a cyberpunk cat.

Stray turns the player into a cyberpunk cat

One of the most anticipated games by Annapurna fans is Stray, a very curious “feline life simulator”. In the game, players assume the role of a lost cat in a city affected by poverty and pollution. During the journey to find your family, you will be able to interact with robots that inhabit the place and even do common activities of a cat, such as scratching sofas. The game is scheduled for release in early 2022 for PS5 and PC (Steam).

The Artful Scape is a psychedelic-looking musical adventure in which a young guitarist travels through different dimensions to create his own artistic persona. With a strong cast formed by the voices of Michael Johnston, Caroline Kinley, Lena Headey, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Strong and Carl Weathers, the game arrives on September 9th for PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

storyteller let you build your own story

One of the unpublished titles of the presentation, storyteller is a puzzle game whose objective is to assemble a story according to certain themes. It will be possible to choose the characters and narrative elements to compose the story and reach the necessary outcome. Still no release date, the game will arrive for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).

Echoes of the Eye arrives as an expansion for The Outer Wilds

The Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye will arrive as an expansion to the science fiction adventure. Scheduled for release on September 28, the content received only a trailer with cryptic scenes without much explanation.

neon white, developed by the creator of donut county, Ben Esposito, is a first-person shooter with frantic action. Players assume the role of White, a murderous demon who must eliminate other demons to secure a place in paradise. It is expected to be released later this year for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).

From the developers of Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash is an action game with cross-platform movement and high level artistic direction. The game will arrive on October 28th for PC (Steam), PS4 and PS5.

Good and bad memories tell the story in The Blue Memoir

Another unpublished title, The Blue Memoir focuses on the narrative and brings “a poignant story of mother and daughter, lived by cherished memories and suppressed memories”. Still no release date, the game will arrive for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam) and iPhone (iOS).

Being silent is the key in Skin Deep

Skin Deep is a first-person shooter that focuses on immersing players. The idea is to sneak around a spaceship to sabotage equipment and rescue hostages. The game has no release date yet and arrives exclusively for PC (Steam).

12 Minutes, Hindsight and last stop arrive in 2021

Three other games were left out of Annapurna’s main presentation, but are still worth highlighting. Are they: 12 Minutes — thriller cast by Daisy Ridley, James McAvoy and Willem Dafoe —, Hindsight — narrative that tells the protagonist’s story through objects —, and last stop — third-person adventure with interlocking plot between three characters.

These three games arrive in 2021 for consoles and PC.
