Two wearables from Samsung were announced to Brazil on Wednesday (2). THE Galaxy Buds Live is the new fully wireless headset from the Korean brand, with bean-like design, active noise cancellation and more open format. The company is also bringing Galaxy Watch 3, watch with revolving crown and new health and fitness metrics.
Galaxy Buds Live: beans play sound and have noise cancellation
THE Galaxy Buds Live it’s the strangest headset I’ve ever seen. With a bean-like shape, it is completely wireless and has active noise cancellation to reduce everyday noise. Unlike previous Galaxy Buds, the new model is not in-ear, bringing an open earbud design, which only rests in the ear canal and still allows you to hear the world around.
Even without a silicone tip in your ear, Galaxy Buds Live can reduce up to 97% of background noise at low frequencies, according to Samsung. But the company makes it clear that the phone does not eliminate “what’s important”, such as voices or sound announcements. Active noise cancellation is aided by the three microphones on each side of the handset, which promise better audio quality on calls.
With active noise cancellation, Galaxy Buds Live offers up to six hours of charge, just over half of Galaxy Buds +, which used to reach 11 hours. A case with USB-C and wireless charging support can power the headphones 3.5 more times and deliver an hour of music with just five minutes of recharge.
In white, bronze and black colors, Galaxy Buds Live will be launched in Brazil from September 18th with suggested price of R $ 1,299. Whoever purchases the handset in the pre-sale, between September 3 and 17, will win a R $ 400 voucher to buy other devices from the Galaxy ecosystem.
The full review of Galaxy Buds Live will be published on Tecnoblog this Wednesday (2).
Galaxy Watch 3: blood pressure, electrocardiogram and more
The successor to the Galaxy Watch is called Galaxy Watch 3 (Yeah). He gained resources focused on health and fitness, being able to monitor his blood pressure after an initial calibration with a sphygmomanometer and make electrocardiograms to help identify heart problems, such as atrial fibrillation.
The design marks the return of the rotating crown to navigate the interface, which did not appear in the Galaxy Watch Active line. In sizes 41 and 45 mm, the Galaxy Watch 3 arrives with circular AMOLED screens of 1.2 or 1.4 inches and 8 GB of internal storage for applications and data, such as offline music from Spotify. Versions sold in Brazil will have 4G connectivity.
For those who practice running, the Galaxy Watch 3 can analyze the user’s training and evaluate issues such as time of contact with the ground, flight time, regularity of cadence and VO2 maximum, allowing the user to identify problems and improve their performance. It is also possible to measure the symmetry of the stride, without the need for additional accessories.
Anyone who buys a Galaxy Watch 3 in pre-order, between September 3 and 17, will win a R $ 700 voucher to purchase other products from the Galaxy ecosystem. From September 18, sales start at the following prices:
- 41 mm Galaxy Watch 3 with 4G: R $ 2,799
- 45 mm Galaxy Watch 3 with 4G: R $ 2,999
