Citizens who were in close contact with Dimitrov are invited to call
Recall, after Grigor Dimitrov announced that he was positive for coronavirus, the Zadar County Civil Protection Headquarters appealed to all citizens who had been in close contact with Bulgarian coronavirus-positive tennis player Grigor Dimitrov for more than 10 minutes to go into self-isolation.
Tennis player Grigor Dimitrov was in Zadar for the past two days at the Adria Tour tennis tournament, and he informed the public via Instagram that he was positive for coronavirus, which is why the final of the tennis tournament was canceled.
The County Civil Protection Headquarters called on everyone who had been in close contact with the tennis player for more than 10 minutes to go into self-isolation for 14 days and to contact the competent epidemiologist in the place where they are staying, ie their general practitioner.
“Residents of Zadar County who suspect infection, or who have been in close contact with the tennis player, should contact the epidemiologist on duty at 098 / 332-765 and their doctor,” the headquarters said.
The Zadar County Public Health Institute will introduce an additional telephone line and additional duty teams as of Monday, the statement said.
Due to the whole situation, the organizers of the Adria Tour canceled the finals in which the best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, and the Russian tennis player, Andrej Rublev, were to play. The final concert of Petar Graša was also canceled.
