Moto G100 arrives in Brazil with Snapdragon 870 and 12 GB of RAM | Cell

Motorola launched on Thursday (25) the Moto G100, a cell phone that is part of the popular line, but has premium smartphone specifications. With Snapdragon 870, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of space, it surpasses even the power of the Edge +, the brand’s most complete model. The Moto G100 will be sold for R $ 3,999 and will have a version with bundle to take advantage of Ready For, a new feature that turns the phone into a desktop.

The tenth generation of the Moto G marks a change in nomenclature: instead of surnames like Play or Plus, common until the Moto G9, the positioning of each model has been translated into numbers. The Moto G10 becomes the most “basic” Moto G, while the G30 brings extras such as a 90 Hz screen and the G100 is the most premium, being the first in the line with a Qualcomm 800 series processor.

The Moto G100 is equipped with a 6.7-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution (2520 × 1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside, there is a 5,000 mAh battery with a promise of autonomy of “more than one day ”with fast charging of 20 watts and a 5G modem, which supports both the 5G DSS in operation in Brazil and the 3.5 GHz frequency that will be auctioned in the future by Anatel.

Moto G100 has dual front camera and “PC mode”

The front of the Moto G100 brings together the two selfie cameras in the upper left corner of the screen in an arrangement similar to that of the Moto G 5G Plus, with a standard lens and another wide angle to capture more details of the scene. At the rear, there is a main camera of 64 megapixels, an ultrawide of 16 MP that also serves as macro, a depth sensor of 2 MP and a time of flight camera (ToF).

It is possible to shoot in 6K at 30 fps as in Edge +, but Motorola has brought news: the Audio Zoom feature amplifies the audio according to the zoom applied during recording, thanks to a new microphone at the rear; and Dual Capture mode allows you to shoot with the front and rear lenses simultaneously. Other functions, such as Pro mode with manual controls and Ultra-Res, which creates a photo with 64 megapixels with the main sensor, are still present.

The Android 11 of the Moto G100 brings Ready For, a Motorola feature similar to the Samsung DeX that turns the phone into a PC. You can connect a USB-C to HDMI cable to a monitor or TV to display a desktop interface on a large screen. It is possible to plug in external devices, such as a mouse, keyboard or game controller, in addition to using the phone’s own screen as a trackpad.

Brazil will have Moto G100 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of space

In Brazil, the Moto G100 will be sold in the colors Luminous Sky (a very light blue) and Luminous Ocean (a dark blue with streaks of purple) for R $ 3,999 in a single version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of space. For now, Brazil will be the only country with this combination of hardware; other markets will receive models with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and storage starting at 128 GB.

A USB-C to HDMI cable (with a charging port for the cell phone) will be sold separately for R $ 149 or in the bundle with the device for R $ 4,099. Motorola will also sell a multimedia base for content creators for R $ 279, which leaves the device standing on a surface and brings a cooling system.

We’ve already got our hands on the Moto G100; check out first impressions.
