Instagram may be one of the most downloaded mobile apps in the world, but its use can now be done even by your PC browser. Since the beginning of last year, the platform has released the option to send and receive messages, the famous “Instagram Direct” also in browsers and in the official Windows application.
Today Tecmundo teaches how to chat with other profiles, sending and receiving messages, and even creating groups of conversations, using Instagram in the browser. Check out:
Sending messages and creating groups
The first step is to access the Instagram.com website, then you will need to log in to your account to access your messages. Now, go to the top, on the right, and click on the icon with an arrow.

It is also possible to create a group with more than two people so that they can interact via messages. The procedure is the same, just click on the blue “Send message” button, and then select all the profiles that will participate in the group chat.
A screen will appear with some options for creating the group, such as placing a specific name, and adding or deleting a member. After setting up and making sure of everything, click “Finish” to create the group and start the conversation.

Finding other profile messages you don’t follow
Instagram usually separates messages sent by profiles that you don’t follow. To do this, do the same procedure to access your mailbox. Then, go to the “General” tab.
If you want to receive future notifications for a particular profile found on the General tab, you can move the conversation to the Main part of the message box. To do this, first click on the desired profile, then click on the “i” located at the top of the flat, next to the profile photo (as shown in the image below).

Now click on the “Move” icon to send the conversation to the main part of your Instagram messages.

It is also possible to silence a certain profile so as not to be notified when a new message is received. To do this, on the same screen, check the box with the option “Silence messages”.

Okay, now you can chat with your friends and other profiles on Instagram without having to use the mobile app or even the Windows app on your PC.
