The end of each year is an excellent opportunity to remember what happened in the last few months. An efficient way to do this using social media is through a retrospective of the most liked photos on Instagram.
This end-of-the-year trend, christened by its name in English best nine (Where ton nine), selects the nine most popular profile images in a given year and composes a mosaic of those photos. Although the social network itself does not offer its own tool for this, but it is already allowing you to add music to photos, there are some very easy and practical ways to create your mosaic with the most liked images.
How to make best nine?
There are two very practical ways to create this retrospective of your most liked profile photos. The first one works on both computer and mobile, and is very easy to do, requiring just a few clicks or taps on the screen (and a little patience).
The second is more elaborate and needs to be performed directly on the smartphone. It is an application, available for Android and iOS, that allows the creation of this mosaic and even the use of some customizations in these photos.
However, it is important to note that both methods require the account to be configured in public mode, that is, the images must be visible to people who do not follow your profile. A tip to work around this “problem” is to enable public mode just to create best nine and then make the account private again.
If you are thinking of using the most practical method, follow these steps:
Step 1: go to the Best nine website;
Step 2: in the “Instagram ID” field, enter the username as it is registered on the social network (this is the name that goes after the @ when we share our profile with others) and then click “GET” ;
Enter your username as it appears right after the @ symbol in your profile. (Source: Best nine/Reproduction)Fonte: Best nine
Step 3: depending on the day and time you are doing this, it may take a few minutes for the site to gather your most popular photos for the composition of the mosaic — as there are many people using the service at this time of year, the site may take up to 10 minutes to deliver a result;

Step 4: Once the image has been generated, you can save it in the gallery (or some folder on your computer) and share it directly on your social networks.

Using the Best Grid app
If you want a direct solution on your mobile and with the possibility of customization, we recommend the Best Grid app (available for Android and iOS). Follow these steps to create your mosaic:
Step 1: download and install the app on your smartphone – Android and iOS;
Step 2: on the app’s home screen, enter the username as it appears on the social network (after the @ symbol);
Enter your user profile so the app can select the most liked photos from your account. (Source: BestGrid/Reproduction)Fonte: BestGrid
Step 3: the application will search the profile and select the most liked photos from that account and, on the next screen, a summary of what has been achieved during the year will appear, showing the number of followers, posts, likes and comments;
The app even shows you a summary of your profile for the year, showing how much your account has grown this year. (Source: BestGrid/Reproduction)Fonte: BestGrid
Step 4: the next image is already your photo collage, so you have the option of being able to share it immediately on your social networks or choose to customize this mosaic with some options;

Step 5: the personalization options are quite varied, with alternatives that modify the divider between the photos and, when choosing one of the themes, a logo will be applied to the photo, requiring an in-app purchase to remove this symbol.

If you want to further boost your publication with the best photos of the year in the retrospective, use the hashtags “bestnine”, “#best9” or “bestnine2021”. If you want to learn how to download videos from the social network’s feed or stories, we also have this guide for that.
