Huawei WiFi AX3 joins strength in Wi-Fi 6 and security in a beautiful body | Gadgets

A router is the type of product that sits there in its place, sitting on the shelf and you only remember it when the connection to the internet operator goes down, but every now and then a new technology is launched and the new smartphone that you just buying does not seem to talk properly with Wi-Fi, or not as expected. Most likely the cell phone uses the Wi-Fi 6 standard and then it is time for an upgrade on the router.

That’s what the powerful Huawei WiFi AX3 offers. It was born from the factory ready to work with both older devices, as well as those not yet launched and that will be equipped with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). Before commenting on the advantages of this router, a summary about its connection is worth.

Wi-Fi 6 is an easier name to remember by the average user, like you and me, since it “hides” 802.11ax, successor to the suffix “ac” of Wi-Fi 5. This type of connection was announced in October 2018 and became official more or less a year later, with quite generous improvements in several points. The biggest one is the lower latency, which is very important since online games, going through lives and going mainly to connected home devices, such as light bulbs and smart sockets.

The native MU-MIMO is also an advantage of Wi-Fi 6, responsible for automatically delivering the connection to several devices at the same time, instead of the router working with one at a time. In addition to improving the way many devices work on the web, the new wireless connection can also be faster.

The Huawei WiFi AX3 was born ready for the future

Devices compatible with Wi-Fi 6 networks are still starting to arrive, which does not mean you can wait while seated. Once indoors, they will only be able to operate at full steam with a router compatible with that connection. This is where the Huawei WiFi AX3 comes in.

Focusing first on speed, the router can deliver 3,000 Mb / s with less oscillation, interference and still guarantee the low latency promised by Wi-Fi 6. This speed seems absurd by today’s standards when you focus on just one device, but imagine that the Huawei WiFi AX3 will work with a smartphone starting online, a tablet doing the same thing, while the TV in the living room watches a live, the TV in the bedroom enjoys a movie in streaming and all the lamps in the house are still connected.

To give greater reach for all this work, the Huawei WiFi AX3 uses four antennas with 5 db in a more aggressive format as it has right angles, but still modern because it is white and is easily camouflaged in front of a white wall. All this signal strength is enough to go through some walls without complaints.

Whoever is in a bigger house and needs an even more generous reach, can take advantage of the possibility of creating a Mesh network from the Huawei WiFi AX3. Just another Huawei router with an H button and that’s it, Wi-Fi goes further.

Safety also in mind

With so much data traveling between computers, smart devices, smartphones, televisions and tablets, it would be unwise to keep all of that open within the hardware itself. To solve a possible invasion, Huawei separated part of the internal components in a security area with CC EAL5 certification and regulated by the TEE, far from the quad-core processor.

When guests arrive home and you don’t want to share the password, NFC can add even more security. At the top of the router there is an “N” and in this area there is an antenna with this type of connection, capable of configuring an Android leaning against this location to enter the internet immediately.

As an intruder may know this and try to touch the router without your permission, it is possible to turn off the feature by the application used for the entire configuration. Everything in it is in Portuguese and there it is even possible to set up a backup Wi-Fi 5 network, in case your connected device presents difficulties to enter the most modern connection.

The app also updates the firmware, shows which channels are being used the most, limits the band for each connected device and even makes it possible to insert parental control.
