Huawei announces Mate 40, 40 Pro and Pro + with Android without Google | Cell phone

THE Huawei held an event this Thursday (22) to reveal its newest top-of-the-line cell phones: the Kill 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design come with 5G, 90 Hz screen, Kirin processor, 50 megapixel camera and up to 50 W wireless charging. They run a version of Android 10 with HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) and without any Google service.

THE Huawei Mate 40 Pro + it has four cameras at the rear: 50 megapixel main, 20 MP ultrawide, 12 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, 8 MP periscope for 10x optical zoom, plus a 3D depth sensor. At the front, we have a 13 megapixel camera with 3D sensor for selfies in a notch on the 6.76 inch OLED screen.

The processor is the new HiSilicon Kirin 9000 octa-core accompanied by the 24-core Mali-G78 graphics chip. The 4,400 mAh battery has SuperCharge support for charging with a 66 W cord, as well as a 50 W wireless charging.

THE Mate 40 RS Porsche Design it is a version of the 40 Pro +: it has a more striking appearance, of course, in addition to more storage space – 512 GB, against the 256 GB present in the Plus model.

Meanwhile, the Mate 40 Pro it has less RAM (8 GB, against 12 GB in Pro +) and fewer cameras at the rear. THE Kill 40 standard saves more in specifications, including a different system-on-a-chip: the Kirin 9000E has the same octa-core processor, but the GPU has “only” 22 cores.

All Huawei models have the software in common: they run EMUI 11 based on Android 10. This operating system uses Huawei’s services to provide notifications, location, maps, ads, among others.

HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) is a replacement for GMS (Google Mobile Services). As you may know, Huawei is prohibited from doing business with U.S. companies, including Google, so it cannot embed the Play Store or use the company’s services.
