Honor 50 and 50 Pro launch with Google Play and 108 MP quad camera | Cell

THE honor debuted its new cell phone line to the Chinese public this Wednesday (16), formed by Honor 50, 50 Pro and 50 SE. The launch marks the return from google apps to the maker’s smartphones after the company was sold by Huawei. In common, the trio brings up to four cameras, intermediate datasheet with up to 12 GB of RAM, recharge of up to 100 watts, support for 5G and Android 11 from the factory.

O Honor 50 brings 6.57 inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. Touch refresh and sampling rates are 120 Hz and 300 Hz, respectively. The 32 megapixel front camera is positioned in a hole in the display.

The smartphone draws attention for its quadruple photographic set, both for its huge module and for its specifications. The main camera has a resolution of 108 megapixels and is accompanied by an 8 MP (ultrawide) camera. The other sensors have 2 MP and are dedicated to capturing depth of field and macro.

The intermediate datasheet is led by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. RAM memory goes up to 12GB, while storage is capped at 256GB. The battery, in turn, has 4,300 mAh of capacity and quick recharge of 66 watts.

already the Honor 50 Pro brings the same cameras, look and similar specs. But the phone’s screen is bigger, at 6.72 inches. In addition, the front camera is dual, 32 megapixels and 12 megapixels. The battery, on the other hand, has 4,000 mAh of capacity. But the power of the quick recharge can reach up to 100 watts.

Honor 50 SE has triple camera and MediaTek processor

The Honor 50 SE is a simpler option. The LCD screen is 6.78 inches, Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The front camera, for selfies and video calls, still remains in a hole. But the resolution is 16 megapixels.

The triple camera system is led by a 100 megapixel sensor. The secondary component has 8 megapixels and an ultrawide lens. The 2 megapixel camera is designed to capture depth of field.

The launch packs the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, also with 5G. The smartphone has two RAM memory options: 6GB and 8GB. The storage can be 128GB or 256GB, depending on the purchase option. The 4,000 mAh battery has a 66 watt recharge.

Price and availability

Cell phones are already on sale in China. In the Asian country, launch prices range between 2,399 yuan and 3,999 yuan. Check the values ​​for each edition below:

    • 6GB + 128GB: 2,399 yuan (about R$1,885 in direct conversion);
    • 8GB + 256GB: 2,699 yuan (about R$ 2,120);
  • Honor 50:
    • 8GB + 128GB: 2,699 yuan (about R$ 2,120);
    • 8GB + 256GB: 2,999 yuan (about R$2,360);
    • 12GB + 256GB: 3,399 yuan (about R$2,670);
  • Honor 50 Pro:
    • 8GB + 256GB: 3,699 yuan (about R$2,910);
    • 12GB + 256GB: 3,999 yuan (about R$ 3,140).

The releases will arrive in other countries soon. To the The Verge, Honor has stated that their phones will pass Google’s security review. Thus, smartphones will be able to bring the option of having Google Mobile Services “pre-installed on compatible devices, according to Google’s licensing and governance models”.

“Consumers will be able to try out Honor smartphones and tablets equipped with GMS [Google Mobile Services]”, informed when talking about the new Honor 50 line.

There is no forecast for launching new Honor cell phones in Brazil.
