Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + bring 120 Hz screen and S Pen with lower latency | Gadgets

THE Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 + have been officially revealed by Samsung: the new tablets offer a 120 Hz screen, S Pen with lower latency, Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, and an improved keyboard cover. To rival Apple’s iPad Pro, they also add several software features to Android.

The technical data sheet of the two tablets is very similar, but there are some notable differences. The Galaxy Tab S7 has an 11-inch LPTS screen, while the Tab S7 + features a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display; both have a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Both models come with a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, placing them in the premium Android tablet segment. They have up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of expandable storage per microSD.

The highlights of the Tab S7 and S7 + are for the S Pen and the software. The pen comes with the tablet in the box, has a rounded shape and elongated tip, in addition to lower latency thanks to the higher refresh rate of the screen.

S Pen joins the new Samsung Notes with support for PDF import and annotation, as well as the ability to write, type and draw in the same area. We also have the Audio Marker, to record lectures or meetings while you write and synchronize the two.

There are other improvements to the software, including the Multi-Active Window with support for three apps sharing the screen at the same time; synchronization of Samsung Notes with Microsoft To Do and Outlook; and adjustments to the Samsung DeX, which offers a desktop experience. Oh, and it will be possible to use the tablet as a second screen of a Windows PC via Wireless Display.

The Clip Studio Paint drawing app is coming to Android for the first time and comes pre-installed on the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 +, as well as Noteshelf (virtual notebooks) and Canva (content for social networks and marketing).

The Book Cover accessory, sold separately, features a larger touchpad with gesture support, and a keyboard with a Fn row (function keys) and shortcuts similar to Windows. It is possible to tilt the hinge at angles between 90 and 165 degrees; there is a compartment at the rear to store the S Pen.

The Galaxy Tab S7 will launch later this year in the US, starting at $ 649.99, while the Galaxy Tab S7 + will start at $ 849.99. They will be available in three colors: Mystic Black (black), Mystic Silver (silver) and Mystic Bronze. The tablets will reach international markets from August 21; there is still no forecast for Brazil.
