Galaxy A22 Launches with 90Hz Screen and 48MP Quad Camera | Cell

O Galaxy A22 is the new intermediate cell phone from Samsung, and was announced entitled to a version compatible with 5G networks. The conventional model has a 48 MP quad camera and takes the screen with a higher refresh rate (90 Hz) to the segment of more affordable smartphones. The launch took place on the international market this Thursday (3rd).

Galaxy A22: quad camera and 90Hz Super AMOLED screen

With a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, the Galaxy A22 boasts a 90 Hz refresh rate for smoother graphics. The feature has become common in smartphones considered premium, but it’s good to see that Samsung is also investing in cheaper models.

Moving on to the photographic part, we have four lenses on the back, with a 48 megapixel main sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS).

The other cameras are the standard set for most mid-range cell phones today: an ultrawide lens (8 MP), a macro lens (2 MP) and a depth sensor with 2 MP, to help blur in portrait mode.

On the front, the smartphone has a single 13MP camera with f/2.2 lens aperture, for selfies.

The Galaxy A22 has a MediaTek Helio G80 processor (octa-core up to 2.2 GHz) and can be found in versions with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 128GB internally. The battery is 5,000 mAh, with 15 W fast charging.

The phone will be sold in green, violet, white and black, but its prices have yet to be revealed. It is worth remembering that the model has already been approved by Anatel and should arrive in Brazil soon.

Galaxy A22 5G: Full HD+ screen and up to 8GB of RAM

The Galaxy A22’s 5G variant gives up some specs of the conventional model, such as the macro camera (it has only three lenses on the rear: 48MP main but no OIS; 5MP ultrawide and 2MP depth). In addition, the front camera is downgraded to an 8 MP sensor (f/2.0)

When it comes to screen, the smartphone has the advantage of a higher resolution, Full HD+. The refresh rate, however, is at the default of 60 Hz, and the technology is TFT, instead of Super AMOLED, leaving the best contrasts and the greatest smoothness for the LTE version.

The Galaxy A22 5G’s battery is also 5,000 mAh, with a fast charge of 15 W. Its processor, however, is different: the MediaTek Dimensity 700 (octa-core up to 2.2 GHz). You can find the device in versions with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM memory. The storage is 64GB or 128GB, and can be expanded via microSD up to 1TB.
