THE sure announces on Thursday (28) new plans in the postpaid and control category: the operator bets on the integration of the mobile service with content applications, and launches bundles combined with Netflix, Conmebol TV and benefits for games like Pokémon Go and Free Fire, in addition to providing a differentiated franchise for Twitch, Globoplay and Pluto TV.
In an exclusive interview with Tecnoblog, Márcio Carvalho, marketing director at Claro, states that the postpaid segment strategy was based on three points:
- having comfortable franchises that do not end at the end of the month;
- content for all screens, meeting the need for gamers (with Twitch), football viewers (on behalf of Conmebol TV) and films and series (with Netflix);
- a better mobile internet, for which the accelerated activation of 4.5G was a foundation.
The new plans seem to be a response to Vivo Selfie: the competitor has packages that include subscription to services such as Netflix, Premiere, YouTube Premium, Telecine Play, Spotify and Rappi. TIM also has options with streaming applications, but they are restricted to TIM Black Família.

Claro increases internet in other postpaid plans
Claro took advantage of the update to increase the internet quantity of some packages without subscription services:

All Claro post plans include unlimited calls and SMS messages to any operator, including DDD. Access to Facebook, Instagram (except IGTV), WhatsApp (including voice calls and videos), Twitter, Waze and Claro Música is unlimited and does not discount the main franchise.
In addition, the plans include international roaming in 18 countries in the Americas, and those who sign the options with 100 GB and 120 GB are also entitled to the World Passport, which extends coverage to 80 destinations.
Whoever links a mobile plan with fixed broadband or pay TV takes twice as much 4G internet. It is possible to add dependent lines that share the internet franchise for a monthly fee of R $ 39.99 for each chip.
Video franchise now includes Globoplay, Pluto TV and Twitch
Another novelty is that the Extraplay franchise, intended for video services, has gained new suppliers. Previously, exclusive gigas could be consumed only with Netflix, YouTube and Now.
Extraplay can now also be used with Twitch, Pluto tv, Globoplay and Conmebol TV. What is not yet known is whether customers of old Claro Pós plans will be able to use these new apps in the dedicated video franchise.
It is worth remembering that the Extraplay franchise does not include subscription to the service: only selected plans include access to Netflix or Conmebol, for example. The customer can subscribe to the streaming on their own and watch the content on the smartphone without discounting the main internet package.
